Tools worth owning
Garden Tools Review is a small, independent notebook about hand tools for backyard gardeners. We use every tool for a full season before writing about it, and we say plainly when something is not worth the money.
Start with the basics: a good pair of pruners, a sturdy trowel and a hand fork. Everything else can wait until you know what your garden really needs.
